Canada is among the most popular choices for education, especially among international students. Canada is a welcoming place to study and with many diversified communities and cultures where you can feel comfortable immersing yourself with different cultures while connecting with other students of similar backgrounds. It’s no wonder that Canada had a bustling 621,000 international students in 2021 even in midst of the pandemic.

Here are the reasons why Canada should be a definite choice for your learning experience.
Diverse and Inclusive cultural life
Quality of Education
Canada is a safe country

Besides education, Canada is a diverse, inclusive, and multicultural country. Among the 621,000 international students in 2019, 34% of them were from India, followed by China at 17%. Students from France, Iran, Vietnam, Brazil, South Korea, Philippines, USA, Mexico, Nigeria, Philippines, Colombia, and Algeria made up the remaining 49% of international students. With so many different people from so many different backgrounds with their own unique history and cultures, it’s incredible how multicultural Canada is. Having this diversity is a good part of learning more of the perspective of the people around you and being a global person.

Canadian schools are among the highest ranked schools in the world. It’s no question that you will have an abundant learning experience in Canada. From elementary to post-graduate education, Canada has a robust education system and numerous educational programs to suit every student’s needs. The elementary and secondary curriculums emphasize holistic education, which do not just focus on subject knowledge, but also prepare students with the life skills that they will need to face the ever-changing world.

Canada has a reputation for being a safe country. With the county’s lower rates of violence and thefts than other countries, you can be sure to have a safe experience in Canada along with everything the country has to offer.
Education System in Canada
We work with our partners in Toronto to introduce the best of the public education system. Let's take a look of the public education system for example.

Elementary Schools (Kindergarten to Grade 8)
There are over 400 elementary public schools in Toronto. International students who are in kindergarten to grade 8 may be admitted to these schools. Students will benefit from being immersed in English language instruction, interacting with other local students and experiencing life as a student in Canada.

Are all elementary schools the same?
No. Students will be placed in a school based on the home address of their parent/custodian. This means that where you choose to live will decide which school your child will attend.
How do we help?
Our team will conduct an interview with you and your child to best understand your educational goals. Based on this, we will recommend a strategy to help you choose the appropriate type of school, choose a good neighborhood, and then help you with the administrative process (schools require a proof of address such as a lease agreement, utility bill or telephone bill etc.)

Secondary Schools (Grade 9 to 12)
If you have a child that is looking to continue their secondary level education, Toronto is a great choice for students who are looking to further their English language studies and prepare for their post secondary education. A well-planned high school learning experience for international students will prepare them for either enrolling in a college or a university in Canada.
How do we help?
Our team will help each prospective student to:
-
Set up meetings with school officials to select an appropriate program
-
Help students to choose the appropriate academic stream
-
Find housing/accommodations
-
Ensure that the application process is completed correctly and filed on time.
-
Provide updates to the application status

OUR COMPLETE PROCESS
From start to end Paksun Immigration manages the entire application process, to make it hassle free experience for you.
Step 1:
Consultation
During our consultation session, we identify the student’s needs, interests, educational background and personal goals. We focus on matching the students with schools which fit the students’ profile and provide students the best options.
We provide information about cost of living and lifestyle expenses in different districts so students and their families have an idea of how their lifestyle will be. If students are interested in applying to be a permanent resident in the future, we also advise about which programs can help them.
Step 2:
School Application
If you choose to proceed with us, we will sign an agreement. Then, we will prepare the paperwork and verify all documents for school applications. If an interview is needed, we will arrange interviews with schools.
Schools will issue Conditional Offer of Acceptance letters if they accept the student’s application. Students will then pay the tuition fees to school. Once the schools receive the required fee, they will issue the Official Letter of Acceptance.
Step 3:
Visa apPlication
Once we get the official letter of acceptance, we will start to apply study permit for the student so that they can start their study journey as soon as possible. Our immigration consultants will verify all the required documents and submit visa applications.
Have a family? No problem. If there are accompanying family members, we can also submit visa application for them (work/study permit and travel visa). Now, you can focus on prepping your arrival.
Step 4:
Arrival
We will provide guidance to students on school registration and transportation when they arrive. If needed, we also offer guidance on booking airline tickets, health, accommodation, and relocation services.
